Retreat

Sondheim Student Retreat

Every September, the student-run Steering Committee organizes a retreat for incoming first-year Sondheim Scholars. The 2 night retreat takes place in Baltimore City and gives students a chance to bond with others in their cohort and to gain a better understanding of the Baltimore community. Activities have included a Stoop Storytelling workshop with Laura Wexler, conversations with figures such as the President of UMBC and the President of the State Board of Education, visits to notable locations like the Walters Art Museum and the Baltimore Farmers’ Market, and lots of good food and fun!
